Drove the trans am around the block today and half way around a horrible and really loud knocking sound started happening inconsistently when under throttle. I get back home and open the hood looking for something like a broken motor mount causing the engine to bang against stuff but nothing. Apparently one of the rocker nuts came off and allowed the exhaust rocker from cylinder two to bang around. Not sure how it came off since I have poly locks. Put the rocker back together and adjusted all the valves on this bank and it’s running perfectly fine now. Weird.

Bad news: M. Night Shyalmalan’s directing the adaptation. The book was awesome, but the movie is guaranteed to suck now.

That title...too much truth.

Do you have stock springs or did you go new-and-improved fancy pants springs? I know the LSx springs are all the rage to put in every pushrod car now.

I don’t have stock springs. Last year I had my heads milled, spring pockets cut, a valve job done, as well as new three element springs, arp studs, and roller rockers installed. Springs aren’t stock but are the setup recommended for my camshaft.

That’s disconcerting. Were any of the others loose when you adjusted them?
